Last updated: 19 September 2026. I have written these terms to provide clear website and enquiry conditions. They are not a substitute for legal advice, and I intend to have them reviewed periodically by a qualified legal professional.
1. About these terms
I am Jack Granby, trading as Granby Film Projects. In these terms, “I”, “me” and “my” refer to Jack Granby trading as Granby Film Projects. By using this website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or submit an enquiry.
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the involvement of a parent or legal guardian, to submit an enquiry about a project or commercial opportunity.
2. Website information
This website describes my project-packaging, strategic-partnership and introduction activities through Granby Film Projects. Its content is general information only. It is not legal, financial, tax, investment or professional advice and should not be relied on as such.
I aim to keep information accurate and current, but I do not promise that every page will always be complete, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.
3. No guarantees or automatic relationship
An enquiry, discussion, review of information or introduction does not create representation, agency, management, employment, partnership, joint venture, fiduciary duty, exclusivity or any other continuing professional relationship unless the relevant parties expressly agree this in writing.
I do not guarantee:
- acceptance, development, optioning or production of any project;
- financing, investment, distribution, sales or commercial returns;
- representation, employment, paid work or inclusion in a network;
- that an introduction will be made or accepted; or
- that any introduction will lead to an agreement or successful outcome.
Each party remains responsible for deciding whether a person, project, service or opportunity is right for them.
4. Enquiries and acceptance of these terms
The website enquiry forms require you to tick a box confirming that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions and agree that they apply to your enquiry. You should not tick the box or submit the form if you do not agree.
By submitting an enquiry, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you are entitled to provide it and, where you act for another person or organisation, that you have appropriate authority to do so. I may retain a record of the enquiry and the confirmations submitted with it in accordance with my Privacy Policy.
Acceptance of these website terms governs the enquiry process only. It does not oblige me to review further material, reply, make an introduction or provide any service, and it does not replace a separate written agreement for paid or ongoing work.
5. Creative submissions and intellectual property
Please do not send full manuscripts, complete unpublished screenplays, extensive pitch materials or other valuable creative material unless I specifically request it. An initial enquiry should contain only enough non-confidential information for me to understand the nature of the project and the help being sought.
You retain ownership of the intellectual property in material you submit. Submission does not transfer ownership, copyright or other intellectual-property rights to me. You grant me only the limited permission needed to receive, review, store and respond to your enquiry, and—where you later give permission—to discuss it with specified potential collaborators or contacts.
You confirm that you have the right to submit the information and that doing so does not infringe another person’s rights. You should identify clearly whether you are the author, rights holder, authorised representative or another interested party.
I work across multiple projects and relationships. Similar themes, genres, premises or ideas may already be known to me or independently submitted by others. Receipt of an enquiry does not prevent me or third parties from working on material that is independently created or lawfully obtained.
6. Confidentiality limitations
The initial contact form and ordinary email are not intended for confidential, privileged or highly sensitive information. Do not send material requiring confidential treatment unless a separate written confidentiality arrangement has been agreed in advance.
I will handle enquiries responsibly and in line with my Privacy Policy, but submission alone does not create a duty of confidence beyond duties imposed by applicable law. Nothing here limits any confidentiality obligation expressly agreed in writing.
7. Introductions and third-party relationships
I may introduce independent third parties. Those people and organisations are not my employees, agents or representatives merely because I make an introduction. I do not control their conduct, statements, services or decisions, and I do not warrant their suitability, solvency or performance.
While I may carry out proportionate research or vetting, every party must conduct its own due diligence, obtain appropriate advice and enter any agreement directly and knowingly. The terms of any resulting relationship are for those parties to negotiate and document.
External links are provided for convenience. I am not responsible for third-party sites, content, security or privacy practices.
8. Paid services, published prices and separate agreements
Prices displayed on this website are in US dollars unless stated otherwise. A price described as “from”, “starting at” or “quoted to scope” is an indication rather than a binding offer. The final price may reflect the project format and stage, material supplied, research required, production assumptions, number of scenarios, revision scope, timetable and licensed or third-party resources.
If I agree to provide paid or ongoing services, the scope, fees, payment stages, expenses, timing, responsibilities, intellectual-property treatment, confidentiality, revision limits, cancellation and termination provisions will be set out in a separate written agreement. Any applicable taxes, currency-conversion costs and approved third-party expenses will be identified where relevant.
A fixed fee, staged payment structure or longer-term commercial arrangement may be agreed depending on the engagement. No commission, percentage, backend interest, exclusivity or continuing participation arises unless it is expressly included in that separate written agreement. If the agreement conflicts with these website terms, the separate agreement governs the relevant service.
Submitting an enquiry, receiving a quote or discussing a possible scope does not reserve availability or require either party to proceed. Work begins only after the separate agreement and any required initial payment have been completed.
9. Capital and commercial matters
I am not an investment adviser, broker-dealer, securities intermediary or financial adviser. My website content, project packaging and introductions are not investment advice, a recommendation, an offer to sell or a solicitation to buy any security or financial product.
Anyone considering a commercial or financial arrangement must conduct independent legal, financial, tax and commercial due diligence and take advice from appropriately authorised professionals. Past activity, projections or third-party statements do not guarantee any future result.
10. Website availability and acceptable use
You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, interfere with its operation, harvest data, impersonate another person or use it for unlawful or misleading activity. I may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the website without notice.
The website design, Granby Film Projects branding and original text belong to me or are used with permission. You may view and print pages for your own legitimate reference but may not reproduce or commercially exploit them without permission.
11. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Nothing in these terms affects any statutory right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, opportunity, revenue, business, goodwill or data arising from use of the website, reliance on its general content, a decision not to progress an enquiry, or the acts or omissions of an independent third party.
You are responsible for maintaining your own copies of submitted material and for protecting devices and data when using the internet.
12. Changes and severability
I may update these terms by posting a revised version on this page. The updated date will show when the terms last changed. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
13. Governing law and contact
These terms and any non-contractual dispute relating to this website are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you may have as a consumer in another jurisdiction.
Questions about these terms can be sent to jack@granbyfilmprojects.com.
