When you contact me, the information I receive may include:

- your company or professional role;
- the type of enquiry;
- a project title and brief description;
- a website, IMDb or portfolio link;
- information you choose to include in your message; and
- technical information processed by the website or its service providers, such as an IP address, browser type, timestamp and basic server logs.
Please do not use the initial enquiry form to send special-category personal data, full manuscripts, unpublished screenplays, sensitive financial records, identification documents or information that requires confidential treatment.
3. How I use information
I may use enquiry information to:
- read, assess and respond to your message;
- understand a project, professional profile or commercial interest;
- decide whether to request further information or suggest a conversation;
- manage communications and any later working relationship;
- keep appropriate records, protect legal rights and prevent misuse or fraud; and
- improve website information and the way I handle enquiries.
Depending on the circumstances, processing may be necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, to pursue my legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business, to comply with a legal obligation, or because you have given consent. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it for future use.
I do not sell personal information or use contact details submitted through this form for unrelated mass marketing.
4. Form, hosting and email providers
The contact forms use FormSubmit, a service operated by Devro Labs, to transmit form entries to me at jack@granbyfilmprojects.com. FormSubmit processes the information you enter so it can deliver the enquiry. My website-hosting provider and email provider may also process technical or message data as needed to host the site, maintain security and deliver email.
I may also share information with professional advisers, service providers or authorities where reasonably necessary, subject to appropriate obligations and applicable law. If I consider a later introduction, I will not share project or contact information with a third party without an appropriate basis, such as your instruction or permission.
Some providers may process information outside your country. Where applicable, I rely on the provider’s contractual and legal safeguards for international transfers.
5. How long I keep information
I retain enquiry information only for as long as reasonably necessary to assess and respond to the enquiry, manage any continuing relationship, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. I delete or anonymise information that no longer serves a legitimate purpose where reasonably practicable.
Retention periods vary because a one-off enquiry, an active project discussion and a contractual relationship require different records. You may ask what information I hold about you using the contact details below.
6. Security and confidentiality
I use reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect information. No email, website form or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. You should retain your own copies of important material and avoid sending sensitive or confidential information until an appropriate method and any necessary written terms have been agreed.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have rights to request access to personal information, ask for inaccurate data to be corrected, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, receive portable data, or complain to a data-protection authority.

If you are in the United Kingdom and remain dissatisfied, you may have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
9. Children
The website and enquiry service are intended for adults and industry or project-related professional use. I do not knowingly seek personal information from children. A parent or guardian should make contact where a person under 18 is involved.

I may update this policy to reflect changes in the website, service providers or legal requirements. I will revise the date at the top when I make a material change.
